Allow File Attachment Download

From the Case Details page, a team member can view case attachments of common file types in their web browser. Supported file formats are JPG, JPEG, GIF, TIF, PDF, PNG, and SVG. By default, these files are prohibited from being downloaded.

However, when the Allow File Attachment Download setting has been enabled, users can download case files of these types locally.

Note

The Allow File Attachment Download setting does not control files that are uploaded as part of an Investigation Checklist. Those files are governed by the configured settings of the Investigation Checklist itself. Specifically, the Upload Files content type has a setting to Allow Download of that file or files. This setting is managed on the Checklist configuration screen for each Investigation Checklist.

Enable File Attachment Downloads

  • To access the Manage System Preferences page, click Settings on the vertical sidebar menu. Then go to System SetupSystem Preferences.

  • To enable file attachment downloads, click the Toggle Off icon to move the toggle switch to the right Toggle On position.
