Permission Templates allow administrative users to assign default system rights quickly and easily. One or more of these templates may be created to tailor access privileges for specific roles and user types and then apply them to individual users as needed. This feature streamlines the process of setting up a new user or matching the Permissions of a user with an existing profile.

Helpful Tips
Filtering Results
The Manage Permission Templates page offers Text Filters to refine the list of existing templates and make it easier to find a specific one. This is particularly helpful in a larger organization or when more than one page of results is returned.
To narrow down the results by one or more keywords, enter a search term in the Text Filter box above the results list. Click Enter.
Template Library Clean Up
Your organization's Template Library can be managed directly from the page by using the inline icons next to the name of each Template. Use of the Description field is optional, but can be helpful in providing more information about the intended purpose and use of a Template at the time it was created.
Maintaining a clean library of Templates boosts efficiency while also ensuring that your organization's most up-to-date governance policies are followed. Obsolete Templates should be disabled to prevent them from being used on the page.
Note
Generally speaking, it is better to disable rather than delete a Template that was ever in use. This will not only give you the option to reenable it in the future, but will facilitate a historical audit if necessary.
